Designed by Anna and Gian Franco Gasparini, the board contains large lengthwise slits, and a little drawer to catch and hold the crumbs that fall through the slits.
The drawer is separated into two compartments – the smaller one houses the bread knife and is located under the slit-free part so the crumbs don’t get in; the second one is the same size as the slitted area, so it can collect the crumbs that form when you cut the bread.
